Women’s Health Clinics

The Women’s Health Clinic opened its doors in October 2004. The clinic specialized in women’s health issues including infertility, menopause and sexually transmitted diseases, and provided counseling to teenagers and families. Medical services, medications, ultra-sounds and pap-smear tests were being provided free of charge. On average, the Women’s Health Clinic served 350 patients monthly, free of charge. Among the many successes of the clinic, in recent years, three cases of infertility were treated and three healthy babies were born as a direct result.

2013 was an important year for ACMAO to search for sustainable solutions for the dental and women’s health clinics in Karabagh. ACMAO entered into two important partnerships: one with the Armenian American Medical Society of Los Angeles (AAMS), and the other with the Ministry of Health in Karabagh.
